The illustration shows Martinez pitching, and it perfectly captures his intensity and determination. It's a fitting tribute to a player who was a key member of the team's 2004 World Series championship team.

The Process
Wolfe spent countless hours researching the Red Sox's history and consulting with experts to ensure that the illustrations in Sox Unplugged were historically accurate. He also used a variety of techniques to create the illustrations, including pen and ink, watercolor, and digital painting.
"I wanted to make sure that the illustrations were both accurate and beautiful," Wolfe said. "I spent a lot of time studying old photographs and reading books about the Red Sox. I also talked to a lot of people who are knowledgeable about the team's history."
Wolfe's hard work paid off. The illustrations in Sox Unplugged are stunningly beautiful and historically accurate. The book is a true labor of love, and it's sure to become a cherished keepsake for Red Sox fans of all ages.
